Dear [redacted]
I write in response to an email received from you to our office on April 18, 2024, in which you ask for information on:
Spend on Office supplies and associated products for the below financial years.
1st April 2022 – 31st March 2023
1st April 2023 – 31st March 2024 Start date & duration of Contract?
Is there an extension clause in the contract and, if so, the duration of the extension?
Has a decision been made yet on whether the contract is to be either extended or renewed? Who is the senior officer (outside of procurement) responsible for the contract?
Name of Incumbent Supplier?
How long have you traded with them?
If you publish your register of contracts and purchasing, can you please provide a website link. In addition, can you confirm if you have a contract in place for Tail End Spend.
Your request has been handled as a request for information under the Freedom of Information Act 2000.
I am a regulator independent of, but appointed by, government. My office is an arm’s length body of the Home Office and payment responsibility is managed by the Home Office. I therefore do not hold the information pertaining to contracts that you have requested except for question 1 relating to the spend for the financial years:
- 1 April 2022 – 31 March 2023: £353.15
- 1 April 2023 – 31 March 2024: £4,559.45
The individual total of the two years is recorded on central Home Office records as ‘Office Supplies & Services’.
You may wish to consider a separate request to be made to the Home Office under the provisions of the Freedom of Information Act should you still require the information you have asked for.
If you are dissatisfied with this response, you may request an independent internal review of our handling of your request by submitting a complaint within two months to the address below, quoting reference BSCC-FOI-0424-HD. If you ask for an internal review, it would be helpful if you could say why you are dissatisfied with the response.
