Details

The claimant made two complaints alleging that the Union breached its rules and breached section 47(1) of the Trade Union and Labour Relations (Consolidation) Act 1992 by wrongly excluding himself and another individual from standing as candidates in the 2011 election for General Secretary. The complaints were upheld. The Certification Officer did not consider it appropriate to issue an enforcement order on the Union.
