Details

This document is the government’s implementation plan setting out the far-reaching programme of work that it intends to undertake to improve building safety and ensure that people who live in high-rise residential buildings are safe and feel safe, now and in the future.

The implementation plan responds to the interim and final recommendations of the Independent Review of Building and Fire Safety (December 2017, May 2018) that was commissioned by government to look at the regulatory framework around the construction, maintenance and ongoing use of buildings, with a focus on multi-occupied, high-rise residential buildings.
