Details

The Centre for Earth Observation and Instrumentation was established in 2007 with the key objective to develop UK capabilities in future space instrumentation for Earth Observation.

Applications are now being welcomed by the UK Space Agency to manage the next phase of the Centre for Earth Observation Instrumentation programme on its behalf. The primary aim of which is to build on the successes and strengthen the position of UK-led Earth Observation Instrumentation teams to develop and enhance existing UK capabilities whilst promoting close working relationships and knowledge transfer between the academic community and industry.

The UK Earth observation community is diverse, vibrant and works across a wide range of technologies. Applicants will need to demonstrate a sound knowledge of the global Earth Observation instrumentation sector with an ability to effectively position the UK to exploit opportunities nationally, at European and international levels.

Applicants will design and deliver a process for running themed and open calls, then let and manage the supported projects. The process should be seen by the wider community as independent and working to develop world-class EO instruments.

This is a three year opportunity with an option to extend to 5 years upon agreement. Individual or consortium bids considered.

Visit the Contracts Finder Service for further information about the programme, what is expected and details of how to apply by 17th June 2016, 14:00.
