This document assesses the impact of waiving the backdated element of certain backdated business rates liabilities for those properties that meet the 8-year instalment scheme, and also incurred the bill as a result of being split from another hereditament, due to the significant and unexpected nature of the backdated rates bills incurred during the economic downturn.
