Changes to statement of financial entitlement: dental contracts, 2014 to 2017
Makes changes to the payments made by NHS England to contractors under dental service contracts.

Details
The Primary Dental Services Statements of Financial Entitlements (Amendment) Directions 2017 implement changes to the Statements of Financial Entitlements with effect from 1 April 2017.
The changes implemented in the July 2017 amendment relate to the 2017 to 2018:
- uplift to GDS contracts and PDS agreements values
- increase to dental foundation trainees’ salaries
- increase to dental foundation trainers’ training grant
The changes implemented in the February 2017 amendment relate to the insertion of the applicable up-to-date:
- maternity, paternity and adoption leave allowance rate
- long-term sickness leave allowance rate
Previous amendments
The changes implemented in the 2016 amendment relate to the 2016 to 2017:
- uplift to GDS contracts and PDS agreements values
- increase to dental foundation trainees’ salaries
- increase to dental foundation trainers’ training grant
- and implementation of the payments for community dental services contractors (CDS contractors) who have elected to participate in the prototype agreement scheme since 1 April 2016
The changes implemented in the 2015 amendment relate to the 2015 to 2016:
- uplift in dental contract values
- increase in dental foundation trainee salaries
- increase in trainers’ allowances
- and implementation of amendments to the capitation and quality scheme 2
The changes implemented in the 2014 amendment relate to the 2014 to 2015:
- uplift in dental contract values
- increase in dental foundation trainee salaries
- increase in trainers’ allowances
