With effect from Monday 4 March 2024, changes have been introduced to the Companies Act 2006 which impact the Company Names Tribunal.

Details
On Monday 4 March 2024, the government introduced new laws which affect the Company Names Tribunal.
The consideration of similarity is extended to include use outside of the UK, the qualifying criteria for joining co-respondents is expanded, and section 69(4)(b) (‘the operating defence’) is repealed.
