This article, published in “Survival” and entitled “China, North Korea and the Spread of Nuclear Weapons,” investigates China’s relationship with DPRK and, in particular, what that relationship means for nuclear proliferation in East Asia. The authors are Thomas Plant, formerly a Research Fellow at the International Centre for Security Analysis (ICSA), King’s College London, and Ben Rhode, a Senior Research Associate at the Belfer Center for Science and International Affairs, Harvard Kennedy School. The views expressed in this report do not necessarily reflect those of the UK government.
