Programme: Reducing Energy Costs With Combined Heat & Power

On behalf of the Department of Energy & Climate Change, CHPQA held Combined Heat and Power outreach workshops in Birmingham on 16 June 2015.

The aim of this workshops was to raise awareness and knowledge about the benefits of Combined Heat and Power and District Heating and Cooling Networks. This workshop presented the opportunity to learn about the advantages of CHP and heat networks and was specifically aimed at Facility and Estate Managers working in the health and higher education sectors. The economic and social benefits and available Government support for CHP and heat networks were discussed. There were two case studies presentation followed by site visit to a CHP scheme. The presentations delivered during the workshops are available above.
