The Industrial Injuries Advisory Council (IIAC) commissioned this literature review by Dr Anne Spurgeon of the Institute of Occupational Health to:

  • identify the effects of occupational exposure to organic solvents
  • help IIAC to consider whether the effects of occupational exposure to organic solvents should be recommended for inclusion in the list of prescribed diseases for which Industrial Injuries Disablement Benefit is payable
