On 9 July 2020, the Secretary of State approved the proposals for length SHE4. Their decision is outlined in this notice.

On 16 July 2024, the Secretary of State approved the proposals for lengths SHE1, SHE2, SHE3, SHE5. Their decision is outlined in this notice.

The Secretary of State has also made available a copy of the report given to them by the Appointed Person relating to an objection made about this stretch of coast.
