This paper sets out the government’s response to the issues raised by the Communities and Local Government Select Committee in its report on Community Budgets.

Community Budgets are a new way for local public service providers to work together to meet local needs. They allow providers of public services to share budgets, improving outcomes for local people and reducing duplication and waste.

The inquiry, launched in March 2013 aimed to assess what worked well in pilot Community Budgets, what needs to be changed and how the next stage of Community Budgets should develop.
