Euro exchange rates — official rates for 2025

Traders and officers at UK offices of departure who wish to calculate the value of a Union or common transit guarantee must use the official exchange rate when converting sterling and other national currencies into or from the euro (Article 22, Paragraph 1 of Appendix II to the Convention on a Common Transit Procedure refers).

This rate is used by offices of departure for the purpose of calculating the amount of duty and other charges covered by the standard 10,000 euro voucher in non-euro currencies.

The European Commission have published the following exchange rates between national currencies and the euro.

1 euro is equal to:

  • 25,272 Czech koruna (CZK)
  • 7,4578 Danish krone (DKK)
  • 3,0532 Georgian Iari (GEL)
  • 397,8 Hungarian forint (HUF)
  • 149,90 Iceland króna (ISK)
  • 61,4950 Macedonian denar (MKD)
  • 11,7305 Norwegian krone (NOK)
  • 4,2853 Polish zloty (PLN)
  • 0,8420 pound sterling (GBP)
  • 4,9759 Romanian leu (RON)
  • 117,0375 Serbian dinar (RSD)
  • 11,3145 Swedish krona (SEK)
  • 0,9634 Swiss franc (CHF)
  • 37,9573 Turkish lira (TRY)
  • 46,1539 Ukrainian hryvnia (UAH)

These rates shall be applied with effect from 1 January 2025.
