Details

The Industrial Injuries Advisory Council (IIAC) commissioned Professor David Walters at the Cardiff Work Environment Research Centre at the University of Cardiff to:

  • identify the advantages and disadvantages of national occupational disease and injury schemes in other countries
  • compare schemes in other countries with the Industrial Injuries Disablement Benefit (IIDB) scheme

The findings were used by IIAC to help inform their opinions of a review of the IIDB scheme by the Department for Work and Pensions.
