Documents
Details
The revised Attorney General’s Disclosure Guidelines have now been published.
Thanks to all who engaged with the consultation. The AGO received feedback from many who use and have used the Guidelines including investigators, prosecutors, defence practitioners, as well as others with experiences, be they personal or otherwise, of disclosure and the criminal justice system more broadly.
This consultation was launched to seek views on the draft Disclosure Guidelines and CPIA Code of Practice. This is the result of continuing, collaborative work throughout the Criminal Justice System to identify and incorporate improvements to these sources of guidance on disclosure.
The Government Response to the consultation was published on 10 September, when the revised CPIA Code of Practice was laid before Parliament. The Attorney General’s Guidelines on Disclosure will come in to force at the end of the year.
