Documents
Details
These documents provide the number of coronavirus (COVID-19) cases reported in each lower tier local authority (LTLA) in England under the previous and updated geographic prioritisation processes. The previous method uses the patient’s address from their record in the NHS Digital Patient Demographic Service and the updated process prioritises the address derived from laboratory information management systems at the time of testing. Where the first address is absent or invalid, the patient address from their NHS Digital Patient Demographic Service record is used. This change was implemented in COVID-19 case and test reporting on 16 November 2020 and applied retrospectively for tests from samples taken on and since 1 September 2020.
Further data and metadata are provided on the COVID-19 dashboard.
