Details

When you apply to us through the Affordable Homes Programme 2021 to 2026, we will carry out a number of checks on you and your organisation.

What we check

We will check for:

  • anti-money laundering and counter-terrorist financing
  • your organisation’s registered status and address
  • your organisation’s accounts
  • proof of your organisation’s beneficial owner(s), controllers’, directors’ and decision makers’ identity and address

 Crime prevention and debt recovery

To prevent crime, we verify your identity, and to recover debt, we may exchange information where appropriate, with fraud prevention agencies, law enforcement agencies, debt recovery agencies and other organisations including other lenders.

If you give us false or inaccurate information and potential fraud is identified, details will be passed to fraud prevention agencies to prevent fraud and money laundering.

Complying with legislation

Information may also be processed for the purpose of complying with applicable laws, including, without limitation, anti-money laundering and anti-terrorism laws and regulations and fighting crime and terrorism. This may require the disclosure of information to a UK or other governmental or regulatory authority or to any other person we reasonably think necessary for these purposes.

Freedom of Information (FOI)

The applicant acknowledges that the information supplied by the applicant, including its advisors and consultants, to enable our Know Your Customer (KYC) due diligence has been provided in confidence but that disclosure may in certain circumstances be required by law, including pursuant to our obligations under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 (Act).

We will consider the applicability of any exemptions of we receive an FOI request but reserve the right to disclose the information where we are required to do so.
