The Cycling and walking investment strategy (CWIS) active travel investment model has been developed to help understand the options, costs and benefits of meeting the aims and targets of the CWIS 2017. The technical report, insights paper and appendices cover:

  • the evidence base for the active travel investment model
  • investment modelling
  • an extensive review of evaluations for recent cycling and walking interventions
  • supporting evidence for local authorities and others making decisions on investment in active travel schemes
