Details

The eighth statement of new regulation is a forward look of all regulations in scope of government’s ‘one-in, two-out’’ system (including measures which are deregulatory) that are scheduled to come into force between 1 July and 31 December 2014. The statement is published every 6 months to give businesses an indication of when regulations that have an impact on them will be coming into effect.

We are introducing 4 measures in this period, 2 of which are deregulatory measures that will reduce the burden on business, 1 of which is a zero net cost measure and 1 of which is regulatory.

The statement of new regulation, combined with other measures that form part of the government’s strategy for reducing regulation, is designed to reduce Whitehall’s tendency to regulate and give businesses clarity about all new regulations being introduced. It provides an overview of the net costs and benefits to business and civil society organisations.
