Details
Local authorities have a statutory duty to provide suitable services and activities for young people aged 13 to 19, and those with learning difficulties to age 24, to improve their well-being. Delivering Differently for Young People helps local authorities to improve their services for young people using different approaches.
The programme provides £0.5 million funding to help up to 10 local authorities rethink the way they provide services, and to support positive outcomes for young people. This includes professional support to help them review of all available options and also share their experiences with other authorities.
This programme is a joint initiative between the Cabinet Office, the Department for Communities and Local Government, the Local Government Association (LGA) and the Society of Local Authority Chief Executives (SOLACE).
