This document outlines the choices and trade-offs we need to make in order to give people the reliable road network they want. It explores how we can provide roads that will support the trips that people and businesses need to make, in the most sustainable, reliable way. It discusses specific initiatives which we could implement to improve:

  • local trips we make, on our city and regional roads
  • journeys made across the country on our motorways
