Details

The national protocol agreement sets out the processes and procedures for referrals and administration of the drink-drive rehabilitation scheme.

It’s an agreement between the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA) and HM Courts and Tribunals Service (HMCTS).

It explains:

  • what DVSA and HMCTS will do to make the scheme work efficiently and effectively
  • which agency is responsible for different parts of scheme’s processes
