The Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) is grateful for the opportunity to respond to the report the Disability Benefits Consortium (DBC) has published about the 10 pledges which they believe providers of assessments for Personal Independence Payment (PIP) should meet to deliver a fair and effective assessment. The DBC have requested clarifications from DWP and this response seeks to provide those and set out what the PIP assessment service contract requires of the assessment providers.
