This explanatory memorandum is about a European Commission delegated regulation of 23 September 2022 amending delegated regulation 2020/688 supplementing EU regulation 2016/429 of the European Parliament and Council, as regards animal health requirements for movements within the EU of captive birds intended for exhibitions.

It was submitted by The Rt Hon Lord Benyon, Minister for Biosecurity, Marine and Rural Affairs, Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs.
