Details

Completed in 2013 to 2014 for the Department for Transport by consultants Ricardo-AEA, this research produced updated emission curves for use in WebTAG and the National Transport Model. These curves relate average driving speed to fuel consumption and pollutant emissions, including CO₂, NOₓ and PM10.

The findings of this report are already published in WebTAG appraisal guidance und. They underpin DfT’s national road traffic forecasts (most recently updated in 2015) as well as government’s carbon budgets analysis.

These emission curves have replaced the 2012 emission curves.
