Details
The OTS has completed its project on Employment Status and has published a full report. The report contains a number of recommendations: some aim to improve the workings of the current definition of employment status in the tax system; others aim to make changes to the wider tax system and so make the employment status less of an issue. Almost all of our recommendations are long term in nature and will require a good deal of further work so we would welcome comments to [email protected].
We are very grateful to all the organisations, representative bodies, businesses and individuals who met with us or wrote to us with input for our project, including the 340 people who completed our online survey.
In July 2015 we published a short summary of the responses we received to the report.
