Details
On 27 September 2018, Natural England submitted a report to the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs setting out the proposals for improved access to the coast between Shoreham-by-Sea and Eastbourne.
The opportunity to comment closed at midnight on Thursday 22 November 2018. You can no longer make a representation or objection on proposals.
The report is available as a series of separate documents. You can:

- open the corresponding chapter of the report for more information
All representations and objections were considered before the Secretary of State made a final decision about the report.
Outcome
On 19 December 2019, the Secretary of State announced their decision to approve Natural England’s proposals.
The route is available to view on the National Trails website.
