2. Purpose
To notify ESF projects, delivery partners and stakeholders about an online event to celebrate the England ESF 2014-2020 Programme that is taking place on 17 March 2022, and how to obtain an invitation to attend.
3. Background
This one-off England ESF Programme online celebration event is taking place to recognise activities and achievements to date, including how ESF delivery activity has adapted in response to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.
The ESF Managing Authority is hosting this Microsoft Teams Live event on Thursday 17 March 2022. Starting at 10am it is expected to run for approximately 1 hour 45 minutes.
The event is open to ESF partners involved in delivering the Programme. It will include presentations and short films from local Direct Bid projects, ESF CFOs and CFO projects, LEPs, the ESF Managing Authority and the Department for Work and Pensions ESF Evaluation team.
The focus of the event will include:
-
national and local level achievements so far, recognising the scale, breadth, and diversity of ESF provision and its positive impact in the lives of individuals and communities
-
the extensive ongoing collaborative partnership working amongst those involved in managing and delivering the programme
-
how ESF stakeholders and projects adapted and evolved delivery to maintain support throughout periods of COVID-19 lockdown restrictions and for continued ESF provision
-
the sharing of lessons and effective practice by projects and from ESF evaluation activity
-
the continuation of project delivery until late 2023
By the end of the event all attendees will have gained a better understanding of the achievements of ESF projects across the country and the impact they have locally; and how their own project or role within the management and delivery of the programme fits with and supports those activities.
