This booklet explains how the European Social Fund (ESF) is making real and lasting changes to people’s lives and contributing to local growth. By focusing on those who need support the most – including unemployed or disadvantaged people – ESF is helping to tackle poverty and improve social justice. ESF also supports the government’s ambition to create a more educated workforce that is the most flexible in Europe.
