Details

The Green Deal Communities project was set up in 2014 to support delivery under the Green Deal scheme. Twenty three lead Local Authorities, with a total of 95 Local Authorities participating through local delivery consortia. Four Local Authorities received an additional £2million in total to target and incentivise uptake of energy efficiency installations in the Private Rental Sector (PRS).

The additional funding was provided to these Local Authorities to explore ways in which uptake of energy efficiency measures could be achieved in this notoriously hard to reach sector. The report contains lessons learnt from an evaluation which tried to assess the impact of the additional funding and understand which parts of the PRS incentive were helpful in driving installations.
