Research carried out by consultants SQW Limited (a provider of research, analysis and advice in economic and social development) for DCMS, completed in March 2017, to advise DCMS on evaluating the Internet of Things UK research and innovation programme (2015-2018). The report also describes the logic and rationale for the IoT UK Programme and the main projects within it. These projects include: Cityverve, a smart city IoT project in Manchester; two healthcare projects; the PETRAS IoT Research Hub; accelerator schemes for small businesses; and work by the Digital Catapult and Future Cities Catapult.
