Details

This report focuses on the carbon intensity of potential routes for imported hydrogen. It covers 5 theoretical supply chains for import of hydrogen into the UK, including:

  • piping of compressed hydrogen
  • shipping of ammonia
  • liquid organic hydrogen carriers (LOHCs)
  • liquid hydrogen (LH2)

The analysis was conducted by E4tech (part of ERM Group) on behalf of BEIS.
