The third Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative (EITI) report covers payments and data for the 2016 calendar year. The report is in 2 parts and includes:
- information about the extractives sector in the UK, including information on employment in the sector and the fiscal regime
- a reconciliation of payments made by oil, gas, mining and quarrying companies for UK extraction of raw materials and government receipts
The data relating to oil and gas licence fee payments was updated in October 2018.
The report shows a breakdown of this sum between the:
- oil and gas and mining and quarrying sectors
- different payment types
- government agencies that received those payments
The report should be read alongside the supplementary information document.
