Details

FAWC’s interim report is released as a draft for discussion. It describes the types of information used in policy formulation on farm animal welfare and the information sources.

The evidence base on farm animal welfare is used to support decisions in government and private policy development, law, technological development, day to day farm management and inspection of individuals and groups of animals. Animal welfare research uses a range of information sources and government, industry and others involved in decision making should understand the quality and interpretation of the information they are using.
