When natural disasters, conflict and other crises occur, people around the world can be left vulnerable and in need of humanitarian support. The UK government, through the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO), provides lifesaving food aid, cash and voucher transfers to support people facing hardship.

This page provides an overview of where UK aid has supported people in need. Between April 2022 and March 2023, the UK supported at least 13.8 million people, 6.3 million of them were female and 5.6 million were male.
