Details

The FCDO is proud of the work we have done with small businesses throughout the years. We have already implemented a range of measures designed to increase small to medium sized enterprise (SME) participation and support economic growth. We are committed to continuously improving on the opportunities available to SMEs and supporting the government target. We want to lead within government, and ensure best practice in our work with SMEs.

Our SME Action Plan sets the steps we plan to take under 3 broad categories, with timescales to ensure we continue to make progress towards our objectives.

SME Advisory Forum

Our SME Advisory Forum members act as consultative industry-focussed body advising FCDO on the small business agenda. The members consist of a range of micro, small and medium business leaders across our supply chain. The forum was selected in April 2023 following an Expression of Interest and meets quarterly.
