Submitting your training provision through your apprenticeship service account

Updated 29 June 2021

Applies to England

Find apprenticeship training is an online search facility that employers can use to find apprenticeship standards and identify approved providers that can deliver training.

The information will be collected through your apprenticeship service training provider account. Providers need to provide information about:

  • their organisation
  • the apprenticeship standards they offer
  • the geographical areas they cover

The information you submit will be displayed on the apprenticeship service once you have been accepted as a main provider onto the apprenticeship provider and assessment register (APAR).

This information will be shared with employers when you show interest in their requests for apprenticeship training courses.

If you are, or apply to be, on the APAR through the employer provider route or the supporting provider route, you do not need to submit your apprenticeship information via your apprenticeship service training provider account, because your information will not be visible on the apprenticeship service.

Data quality assurance

Providers who are new to the APAR will need to submit a new provider description via email and add their apprenticeship information for the first time on their apprenticeship service training provider account.

If you have existing apprenticeship information displayed on the apprenticeship service, you can manage your apprenticeship training courses and locations in your apprenticeship service training provider account. You can also update your provider description via email when anything changes to ensure your information is up to date.

Provider overview

This is a brief description of your organisation written for employers which will appear for all of your listed apprenticeships. This information will be quality assured by a third party.

This section gives you the opportunity to tell employers about your organisation. You should include information that will help employers understand more about your organisation as providers of apprenticeship training courses, and why they might want to choose you to deliver their apprenticeship training.

You can update your provider description by emailing an updated version to [email protected].

The standards you deliver

This is your opportunity to provide information about your apprenticeship training course for an employer audience.

You can use this section to tell employers about:

  • apprenticeships which are currently available for delivery and which you are able to offer to employers
  • specific information about the apprenticeship and how the apprenticeship training is structured
  • how you will deliver the apprenticeship training to the employer
  • whether you are regulated to deliver your apprenticeship standards

Training venues

In this section you can see your training locations where you can train apprentices. You can add or update venues and contact details as and when you need to.

Style and compliance

The content for your provider information and your apprenticeship training information must be aimed at an employer audience and not for individuals or potential apprentices.

Make sure you do not:

  • aim your description at specific employers or name employers
  • capitalise ‘apprenticeship’ unless at the beginning of a sentence
  • include hyperlinks or URLs
  • make any claims you cannot prove about training or courses
  • talk about specific apprenticeships or job roles
  • use jargon terms like ‘standard’, ‘framework’, ‘student’, or ‘learner’: use ‘apprenticeship’ or ‘apprentice’ instead
