Details

The Secretary of State for Education wrote to Sir Michael Wilshaw, Her Majesty’s Chief Inspector (HMCI) in January 2015 about the inspection of academy chains.

Since then, Ofsted has conducted focused inspections of academies in 7 of the largest multi-academy trusts (MATs). This letter sets out Sir Michael’s findings from these inspections.
