Details

The Foreign Compensation Commission (FCC) was a tribunal established to assess the amount of compensation British claimants were entitled to under international and British law for losses suffered abroad.

The FCC also helped in the settlement negotiations of British property losses overseas at the hands of foreign Governments. The FCC annual reports provide a round-up of the Commission’s judicial duties and administrative functions performed during its lifetime.

The FCC was formally wound up on 29 March 2013, in accordance with the Foreign Compensation Commission (Winding Up) Order 2013
