Thank you for your email of 14 May 2022 where you asked the following question:
“Under this ‘Freedom of Information’ request, would you please advise if the Human anti-D Immunoglobulin, given either as antepartum prophylaxis or postpartum prophylaxis to Rhesus negative pregnant female, pre or post delivery, is obtained from the blood plasma donated from persons vaccinated with any of the Covid-19 vaccinations.”
Please see the information requested below.
COVID-19 vaccine recipients are not excluded from donating blood for fractionation. Given the large number of Covid vaccine recipients we would otherwise face severe plasma product shortages including Anti-D IgG.
