Details

This study focuses on developing a freight analysis and modelling environment (FAME) framework to help the Department for Transport (DfT) support:

  • investment decisions
  • policy development
  • emergency responses
  • strategic direction within freight

It comprises 2 parts, the first being a study to understand the development and practicality of implementing a FAME framework. This includes a literature review of freight transport modelling and recommendations for the scope and design of FAME

The second part is an independent peer review of the feasibility study for FAME.

MDS Transmodal and Ian Williams conducted this research on behalf of DfT.
