Details

Supporting housing development to increase housing supply, and providing a high quality school place for every child are 2 of the government’s top priorities.

We want to support both home ownership and the provision of additional high quality school places, particularly where new housing and growing communities increase the need for those places. A major concern many have raised is how to secure funding to establish new schools, or expand existing ones, where they are needed.

This letter sets out the various routes to funding new schools to support both existing and new housing growth.
