Details

This research builds on previous work using matched administrative data (using Department for Business, Innovation and Skills data and Department for Work and Pensions data). It estimates the economic benefits to an individual from achieving qualifications in further education, specifically:

  • employment prospects
  • earnings
  • likelihood of being on benefit

The research method compares those who achieve a qualification, with those who start further education but do not achieve.
