Details

This guidance is intended to help awarding organisations understand how to comply with the GCE subject-level conditions and requirements for science.

It replaces the following documents (published in May 2014):

  • GCE Subject Level Guidance for Biology (Ofqual/14/5453)
  • GCE Subject Level Guidance for Chemistry (Ofqual/14/5460)
  • GCE Subject Level Guidance for Physics (Ofqual/14/5461)

All awarding organisations have a legal obligation under section 153 of the Apprenticeships, Skills, Children and Learning Act 2009 to have regard to this guidance.
