On 19 November 2024 the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, Sir Keir Starmer, and the President of Brazil, Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, jointly announced the UK-Brazil Clean Energy Finance Mission to launch the Global Clean Power Alliance. The Mission is underpinned by two supporting statements, highlighting the strength of international cooperation in working to boost the quantity, quality and delivery of international clean energy support. This statement was endorsed by a range of leading financial institutions, international organisations, philanthropies and industry representatives.
