Details

The Government Construction Strategy aims to change the relationship between clients and industry. The trial projects perform a central role in delivering the strategy’s sustainable 15-20% reduction in costs.

This document names the departmental projects that will host trials of the new approaches outlined in the Government Construction Strategy, including new models of procurement, BIM, soft landings and lean procurement.

This updated document contains details of a number of new trials identified since the list was last published in February 2012. Project bank accounts have now been removed, since their adoption has now matured into policy and is being rolled out across government departments to meet £4 billion by 2014.

Trialling of the new models of procurement will draw on the published cost benchmarks and cost reduction trajectories.
