The Government Legal Department (GLD) fully supports the government agenda around gender pay. Fair treatment and reward of all our staff, irrespective of gender, is a priority for GLD and we are committed to ensuring GLD works hard to address any issues in this area, and to ensure we are a brilliant place to work, where we can all thrive and fulfil our potential.

The gender pay gap is the difference between the average earnings of men and women, expressed relative to men’s earnings. This report is based on a snapshot of all GLD staff as of 31 March 2019.
