The Home Affairs Select Committee held an inquiry into the potential impact on Justice and Home Affairs issues of Turkey acceding to the EU. The government submitted written evidence in February 2011, and the Home Office Minister for Immigration, Damian Green, appeared before the committee to give oral evidence in March 2011. The committee published its report on 1 August 2011. The government has considered the findings carefully and this paper sets out the response to each of the Committee’s recommendations.
