Details

These reports were published in 2003 looking at developing a framework which would guide assessments of the quality of qualitative research evaluations. It has 2 parts:

  • findings of a programme of work to improve the quality of qualitative evaluations, using methodological review of quality standards and methods, to assess credibility
  • a framework for appraising the quality of qualitative evaluations, with reference to evaluations concerned with social policy programmes

They were part of a Cabinet Office excellence analysis into government research and evaluation, commissioned by the Government Chief Social Researcher’s Office at the time.
