Details

We commissioned this survey of employees to update and extend our understanding of the relationship between health and work for employees in Great Britain. The research:

  • builds evidence to understand sickness absence
  • informs the design, implementation and communication strategy of Fit for Work, the new national independent health and work advice and referral service

We ran an earlier survey of employees to gain a detailed understanding of attitudes and behaviours towards health and wellbeing at work.

Authors: Karen Steadman (The Work Foundation), Martin Wood and Hannah Silvester (NatCen).
